About Us 

Purps Produce is an urban farm based out of Winnipeg, MB founded in 2016. We specialize in growing a variety of gourmet medicinal mushrooms, vegetables, teas and offer various home cultivation products to help with your food security such as grow kits, garden boxes, garden fertilizers and food dehydrators.
 

Mission

Our current  industrial farming methods have wreaked havoc on our environment and health. These nutrient deficient crops that rely on synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and fungicides in order to operate, kills the soils living microbiology, and pollutes the environment as well as our bodies and souls. There are better ways, and we hope to offer products and inspiration to help fight this battle to achieve a healthier and happier future.
We hope to inspire thought about what sourcing your own food might begin to resemble.

This journey of self-sustainability has involved converting a front yard lawn into  flourishing garden equipped with automatic irrigation with rain water systems, and composting areas. Inside the house, spare rooms were converted to grow mushrooms/microgreens/plant nursery.
Extra produce is either dehydrated in custom in a custom build food dehydrator  or donated to local charitable organizations, exceeding 500 pounds in 2020.
