About Us Intro

Purps Produce is an urban farm based out of Winnipeg, MB founded in 2016. We specialize in providing a variety of gourmet medicinal mushrooms, teas and offer various home cultivation products to help with your food security such as grow kits, garden boxes and food dehydrators.
 

Mission

Urban gardening and self sustainability is attainable Our current  industrial farming methods have wreaked havoc on our environment and health. These nutrient deficient crops that rely on synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and fungicides in order to operate, kills the soils living microbiology, and pollutes the land and water. There are better ways, and we hope to offer products and inspiration to help fight this battle to achieve a more sustainable future.

We hope to inspire thought about what sourcing your own food might begin to resemble. Our journey of self-sustainability has involved converting a front yard lawn into a flourishing garden, equipping spare rooms to grow an abundance of mushrooms and microgreens. 
All unused produce is donated to local charitable organizations, exceeding 500 pounds in 2020.
